In 2012 we created P.INK, a non-profit to bring together breast cancer survivors and tattoo artists, bringing awareness to an alternative form of healing for mastectomy patients: tattoos. Because breast cancer doesn't have to leave the last mark.
My role
Co-founder, creative director, designer
For our launch, we documented one brave survivor getting a seven hour tattoo.
We created a free resource on Pinterest to raise awareness about reconstructive tattoos and connect survivors with tattoo artists.

P.ink Day
In 2013, we started P.ink Day, a local, all volunteer effort to give as many women as possible tattoos. Our first P.ink Day was held in Brooklyn, New York where 10 survivors received reconstructive tattoos from 10 tattoo artists who donated their time and talent to help women heal.
Thanks to local leaders, P.ink Days have been happening every October in
cities across North America and have given 1000+ women healing tattoos.
We even created an app so that women could try tattoo designs on at home and then get connected to a tattoo artist.
